We are often asked, "Why 'Concordia' Gardens?" The word "Concordia" is simply defined as "harmony and unity". We feel this way not only in our marriage, family, and the Lord, but also the way our gardens make us feel the past decade of living here. In a fast-paced, tech world, the gardening approach should make you enjoy your creator and enjoy peace and harmony.
We invite you to slow down, tour our gardens, and smell the flowers...."Concordia".
We are open Tuesday thru Saturday, 9am-5pm, May-Labor Day Weekend

Concordia Gardens and Perennials

My husband and I have gardening and farming in our blood. Gardening and educating are a huge part of who we are, and a blessing to share the outdoors with our family and friends.
We both enjoy our hobby farm and fixer upper home with our children, grandchildren, and our chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats and our two dogs, Daisy and Marigold (which will eagerly await attention upon your visit).
The animals are fun to watch, but we ask that you be careful not to feed, chase or touch them unless permitted by us. Our animals are fairly tame, and we would like it to stay that way.
We hope to spread the beauty and gifts God has given us by teaching and connecting with all of you when visiting our gardens.
Jill has worked at 6 different greenhouses and landscape companies over 30 years. She has been part of 3 Master Gardener Associations, current President of BAD Buds Daylily Association, member of Green and Gold Hosta Association and a member of both ADS and AHS national associations and does public speaking engagements. Scott has been a Horticulture and Agriculture Agent of UW-Madison Extension for 30 years serving several NE WI counties. For those of you who know him, you are aware of how much he loves the communities in which he works and helps.
Our display gardens are filled with thousands of both native and hybrid perennial plants, shrubs and vines to give you inspiration for your own gardens. It is what makes us unique and fun when taking a garden tour or buying perennials.
In spring, most of our perennials are short and small because we don’t use greenhouses to grow our plants. This means that most of your plants will be blooming at the normal time they should be naturally and will acclimate well to your gardens. All of our perennials for sale are grown in-ground to ensure survival in our harsh northeastern Wisconsin conditions. For this reason, we do not offer refunds on plants since they did well in our gardens before they found a new home.
Have your gardens ready to fill with beautiful perennials ahead of time so your plants don't have to be bare-root or stuck in a pot for too long. We are open all summer, so visit us on multiple occasions to continually add more to your gardens and to see the varieties of perennials blooming each and every week. Daylily season always fun to come back to see something new just about every day during the month of July!
Look for us at the Crivitz Flea Market on Thursday's and The Front Porch in Coleman during the months of May and June. We aren't able to bring everything that we have to sell, but we bring a good representation of what we grow.
Be sure to visit/follow us on Facebook and share with your friends. We also feature on Crivitz Talk and Wausaukee Talk Facebook pages. The best kind of advertising we can have is YOU! We are a new business, so please spread the word if you liked your experience at our gardens.
I occasionally (when I find time) write blog posts about my experiences in my gardens. Hope you enjoy the posts and learn from our mistakes and our expertise. If there is a topic you would like to know about, let us know and we will be sure to write about it.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. We answer any and all questions regarding plants for the outdoors, and even some indoor plants as well. Fruit Tree Pruning, Perennial Plant needs, vegetable garden help or anything related to plants, we are here for you.
