Both my husband and I have gardening in our blood. Everything from fruits and vegetables to annuals and perennials. Gardening is a huge part of who we are and it is wonderful to share the outdoors with my family. Concordia means Unity and Harmony, which is why we named our business the way we did. We are so blessed by God to live in a beautiful, peaceful and natural setting to watch things bloom every day during the growing season. We love what we do and hope to share our passion and our knowledge of plants with all who enter our gardens. We hope you will come back often to see us. There is so much to see since the gardens change every week. Come enjoy Concordia Gardens for yourself.
In the spring, most of our perennials are short and small because we don’t use greenhouses to grow our plants. This means that your plants will be blooming at the normal time they should be naturally. Our gardens are filled with thousands of perennials to give you inspiration for your own gardens. All of our perennials for sale are grown in-ground to ensure survival in our harsh northern conditions. Many of the plants we have for sale will not be on our website, be sure to make an appointment to enjoy the ultimate perennial buying experience. Have your gardens ready to plant ahead of time since many of our plants are dug up bare root. We do this for several reasons, but one is to prevent any weeds or unwanted pests going to your gardens. We are open all summer, so visit us on multiple occasions to see the varieties of perennials blooming.
Jill has worked at 6 different greenhouses and landscape companies over 30 years. She has been part of 3 Master Gardener Associations, President of BAD Buds Daylily Association, member of Green and Gold Hosta Association and a member of both ADS and AHS national associations. Scott has been a Horticulture and Agriculture Agent of UW-Madison Extension for going on 30 years serving several counties. We both love every part of gardening and love to teach others what we know. We enjoy our hobby farm and fixer upper home with our children, grandchildren, and our chickens, ducks, rabbits, cats and our beagle, Daisy. The animals are fun to watch, but we ask that you be careful not to feed, chase or touch them. Our animals are fairly tame, and we would like it to stay that way.
